15 Hot Trends for Spring 2014
Spring is right around the corner.
Choose one or two trends that suit you and incorporate them into your wardrobe. You’ll be surprised at how effectively it freshens things up.
- Peep toe booties or mules – Sexy to show some toe. Break away from strappy and think more shoe with more exposed toe.
- Reptile skin python/snake – A natural beauty and great for scent pieces.
- Jumpsuit – The jumpsuit is like one-stop shopping. Outfit is complete with a sexy heel and viola!
- Sheer fabrics – Peekaboo without showing too much. More suggestive than anything. Looks great on all ages. Choose loose fitting pieces.
- Bare midriffs – Not for everyone, but if you are under 25, do it while you can.
- Color – Orchid pinkish purple. Pantone’s hot color of the season.
- Stripes – Mix em’ with pastels and florals for a chic casual look.
- Florals – All size florals were seen on the catwalk for spring. Indulge in the girlyness from ditzys to large prints.
- Forest green – Run Forest Run! Forest green has been spotted all over designers’ storyboards.
- Pastels – Don’t look like you got stuck in the 80’s. Mix your soft hues with something bold like navy or orange.
- Boyfriend jeans – Gotta love the loose comfort fit of the boyfriend jean. Don’t fall into the boxy trap though. Pair this look with a fitted top and a prominent shoe.
- Cropped, pleated or oversized – Key words while shopping for spring. Can’t go wrong.
- Comfy chic – (tight sweats for the day with constructed pieces) or oversized sweatshirt paired with constructed pant or skirt. Great with an Oxford shoe!
- Wide leg cropped pants – Suits all figures. If you are vertically challenged, I suggest a higher shoe.
- Delicate necklace layering – Opposite of the bold statement neckless, which was so popular the past few seasons.
Happy spring shopping everyone! If you can’t be bothered or need some help, don’t hesitate to book an appointment with a style specialist. www.styledbyandrea.com
